Job Description: The Sr. Accountant I, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is responsible for analyzing financial information and preparation of financial reports with a focus on Revenue Cycle Management General Ledger (GL) and accounts receivable.
- Analyzes financial information ; prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
- Reviews and analyze financial statements and ensure they are properly stated in accordance with GAAP.
- Performs financial month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations, preparation of journal entries, and month end accruals.
- Processes customer contracts; prepares monthly customer billing.
- Audits client account transactions, identify and resolves discrepancies.
- Assists with preparing customer margin reporting.
- Assists with internal and external audits.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience Required:
- 5+ plus years of experience in accounting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of:U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices, Revenue Cycle Management, financial statements and reports, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Skill in:Communication (written, verbal), accounting and analytical skills, mathematical, critical thinking, attention to detail, organizational skills.
- Ability to:Prioritize workload, multi-task, work in fast paced environment, team player, meet deadlines, establish and maintain effective working relationships.
