Occupational Exposure: As a company that is committed to following ALARA at all times, there is limited radiation exposure during nuclear medicine procedures. Technetium (Tc-99m) based radiopharmaceuticals are utilized for cardiac (SPECT) imaging studies. Performance of clinical job duties has a reasonable anticipated risk factor of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens or other infectious materials.
