The AIS Compliance Officer supports the design and execution of the AIS Compliance Review & Monitoring Program to ensure effective regulatory compliance. Requires strong knowledge of broker-dealer regulations and firm policies. Conducts branch office inspections-reviewing signage, client files, emails, trade activity, and more-to assess compliance. Communicates findings and recommends remediation to Regional Sales Management. Oversees additional surveillance activities, reports results, and collaborates with business units to address noncompliance. Assists in developing and implementing written supervisory procedures (WSPs) to ensure regulatory adherence, prevent penalties, and reduce reputational risk. This position requires, at minimum, a check of criminal background and credit records as a FINRA registered position.

This person will also:

  • Execute and maintain AIS compliance review and monitoring programs to ensure effective controls, mitigate risk, and meet regulatory requirements within budgeted hours.

  • Conduct monitoring activities, including branch inspections, to assess compliance with regulations; review items such as signage, client files, emails, and trade activity. Communicate findings and remediation recommendations to AIS staff and Regional Sales Management.

  • Support the design and development of the AIS Compliance Review & Monitoring Program.

  • Assist in creating and implementing written supervisory procedures (WSPs) to maintain regulatory compliance, avoid fines, and reduce reputational risk.

  • Analyze and document surveillance activities; report findings and recommendations to the AIS Director of Compliance.

  • Develop risk-based discussion points and engage relevant management to address compliance concerns.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Law. Required

Experience

  • 2-4 years External/internal audit, compliance or regulatory examination or equivalent experience in banking operations with an emphasis on regulatory compliance issues. Required

  • 4-7 years External/internal audit, compliance or regulatory examination or equivalent experience in banking operations with an emphasis on regulatory compliance issues. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Series 7 and 24 within 6 months. Required
