A critical role in Gametime's process, the design of our product must balance function, safety, durability and inclusion. The ideal candidate will have a blend of childlike creativity and an engineer's technical proficiency. We expect our designers to own their projects from concept to completion, collaborating with Product Management, Design Techs and Drafting, Manufacturing and Testing. You will be part of a cross-functional product development team and work out of the Southern Fulfillment Center in Fort Payne, Alabama.

• Efficiently use AutoDesk Inventor and other software tools, as required, to produce accurate concept models and final production models.
• Participate in development of new custom commercial products. This includes, but is not limited to, metal tubing, roto-molded plastic, routed polyethylene, cable, and sheet metal products.
• Understand our materials and manufacturing methods and implement in new product designs.
• Produce product concepts and develop to finalized models and assemblies, which will be used to generate shop drawings and installation manuals.
• Act as an expert in safety compliance, product function, and inclusive design.
• Produce manufacturable designs in a short time frame and work well under the pressure of a fast-paced environment.
• Provide input to Design Techs and Drafters on work required for project completion and check output for accuracy
• Study models, build prototypes and participate in playground installations to increase knowledge of GameTime products.

• Must have four (4) year degree in industrial or mechanical design (or equivalent experience in these areas)
• Must be proficient in CAD software for design work and layouts
• Proficiency in graphic and rendering software, such as Adobe Suite and Keyshot, is desired
• Knowledge of materials and methods of manufacturing is desired
• You have a strong interest in and aptitude for learning new technologies and design skills
• Must be able to execute on a project brief to meet the deadline of product releases
• Must have a strong work ethic, are reliable, adaptable, and work well with others
• Must have experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office family of programs
• Must be physically able to perform job functions, which may require field installation of new products

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in operating press room claimer, entering Pareto data, and accessing on hand information in report manager.

• Forklift Operator or ability to be trained.
