Description

TDI Technologies, Inc. (TDI) is seeking a Navy Maintenance SME with strong US Navy shipboard maintenance expertise to support data-driven, condition-based maintenance (CBM) and digital transformation programs. This position will work directly with engineers, program managers, and data scientists at NSWC Philadelphia to shape how the Navy maintains surface vessels and improves fleet readiness.

We are particularly seeking former Navy professionals-Maintenance Petty Officers, 3MCs, Maintenance Officers, Port Engineers, Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) staff, or Type Commander (e.g., N43) personnel-who understand shipboard systems and maintenance culture and are ready to apply that knowledge in an engineering and analytics-rich environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Navy shipboard maintenance systems, Planned Maintenance System (PMS), and lifecycle readiness strategies
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to conduct Analysis of Alternatives, design reviews, and readiness impact assessments
  • Interface with Navy stakeholders, platform managers, and engineering teams to align operational needs with technical solutions
  • Support program planning, documentation, milestone tracking, and performance reviews
  • Provide insight into maintenance optimization, fault trends, and support the evolution of CBM+ practices
  • Participate in and facilitate reviews, testing events, and technical meetings
  • Occasional travel to Philadelphia, PA

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in Navy shipboard maintenance roles such as:
    • Maintenance Petty Officer
    • 3M Coordinator (3MC)
    • Port Engineer
    • Maintenance Officer
    • Regional Maintenance Center (RMC)
    • TYCOM staff (e.g., N43)
  • Deep familiarity with PMS, SKED, maintenance documentation, and shipboard engineering systems
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and technical writing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. passport

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CBM/CBM+, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), or data analytics in Navy environments
  • Familiarity with shipboard data acquisition systems and equipment diagnostics
  • Exposure to Navy logistics and maintenance planning systems (e.g., OMMS-NG, R-Supply, VSB)
  • Experience supporting NAVSEA, NSWC, or other Navy maintenance and engineering activities

Location:
Norfolk, VA (with occasional travel to Philadelphia, PA)
