We are looking for a Director of Mortgage Sales in the Greater New Orleans Area to join our team! The salary range for this position is $82,173.08 to $123,259.62 based on skills and experience. This position is classified as Hybrid, which means that they will work in the office 2 or more days a week.

Primary Function:
The Director of Mortgage Sales is responsible for leading and managing a team of mortgage sales professionals to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, analyzing sales data, and building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in mortgage sales management, outstanding leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the mortgage industry.
The Director of Mortgage Sales will assist employees and all appropriate internal credit union partners. Conducts daily business interactions and maintains constant alignment with OnPath's mission, culture, and core values. Encourages others to act with mission, culture, and core values in mind always. Demonstrates initiative and sound judgment in the absence of specific direction from management. Ensures value through decision making that supports credit union goals and interests. Passionately displays a desire to build rapport and expand relationships with all members both internally and externally. Stays informed on OnPath's products and services to provide the right recommendations to the right members at the right time. Promotes and maintains a positive image of the credit union to peers, members, and communities we serve.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:


  • .Lead, manage, and motivate a team of mortgage sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Set clear performance expectations and regularly evaluate team members to ensure high levels of productivity and sales success.
  • Develop comprehensive sales plans that outline sales tactics, goals, and target markets.
  • Implement sales campaigns and initiatives to drive business growth and increase market share.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adjust sales strategies as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and partners.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales forecasts.
  • Analyze sales data and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Address client concerns and feedback promptly and effectively, ensuring positive client experiences.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction throughout the mortgage sales process.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjust sales strategies as necessary.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for the mortgage sales team.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their sales skills, product knowledge, and customer service abilities.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, underwriting, and operations, to ensure seamless coordination and support for sales initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management to provide updates on sales activities, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Ensure that all mortgage operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies.



EXPERIENCE:
Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
A high school degree or equivalent
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.
OTHER SKILLS:
Strategic thinking abilities, strong decision-making skills, and high emotional intelligence is required. Proficiency in conflict resolution, and effective delegation is essential. Exceptional time management and communication skills are vital, along with a commitment to fostering creativity, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement. Adaptability, customer focus, project management and financial acumen, are also necessary for success in this role.
