We are looking for a Mortgage Loan Assistant in the Greater Baton Rouge Area to join our team! The salary range for this position is $18.20 to $27.29 per hour based on skills and experience. This position is classified as Hybrid, which means that they will work in the office 2 or more days a week.

Primary Functions:
The main duty of the loan officer assistant is to take the extraneous work off of the Loan Officer, freeing them up to generate more sales. This person will pull and analyze research regarding the property, credit, and other aspects of the file. NMLS Licensed individuals in this role will call on the existing database and originate new mortgages. The loan officer assistant will support one or more high producing Loan Officers and serve as a contact point for Borrower and Retail Operations with the loan origination process. Assist the Loan Officer(s) in documenting and preparing mortgage loan applications/files to meet strict deadlines and compliance. Resolve issues/difficulties across multiple departments while maintaining a high level of customer service to internal and external customers while meeting their expectations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Experience:
Must possess thorough knowledge of the overall operation of mortgages or financial institutions.
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
Bachelor's degree, or high school diploma with a minimum of 2 years industry experience.
Interpersonal Skills:
Established history of working well with others.
* Must have the ability to properly receive members and courteously handle their accounts.
* Ability to effectively communicate with assigned branches and membership
