Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for supply chain management and cost efficiency? We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement efforts for a fast-growing distribution company. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and operational excellence of a respected industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies that support the company's growth and operational goals.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, ensure product availability, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock without overstocking, and manage the flow of products to meet demand while optimizing costs.
  • Budget Oversight: Collaborate with the finance team to prepare purchasing budgets and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions while adhering to financial constraints.
  • Order Management: Manage all purchasing activities, including order creation, tracking, and supplier communications.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and refine purchasing processes to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless product delivery and operational alignment.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience using NetSuite software preferred
  • Experience in inventory management, purchasing, and vendor relations, with a strong understanding of stock management in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills, proficient in using purchasing and inventory software, and excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to analyze data and trends to make informed, effective purchasing decisions.
