In charge of developing and overseeing the execution of major technical projects for Saltchuk Marine's operating companies barges and designated vessels. This includes managing major (statutory) dry dockings, significant repair/modification initiatives, and engine repower projects. Accountable for meeting performance metrics, with a focus on dry dock efficiency, cost control, marine asset reliability, and minimizing out-of-service time. Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with technical management, vendors, customers, shipyards, and other stakeholders. Essential Functions:

Working Conditions:
Physical/Mental Demands: Requires the ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time and perform typical work in an office environment. For vessels and project onsite work or visits, the ability to climb ladders and over bulwarks is necessary. Ability to move between buildings, ascend/descend stairs and go outdoors in all kinds of weather. Overtime work is required as necessary, including occasional overnight travel and on-call status. Pay for this position will be between $113,172 and $169,757 annually. |
