Administrative Coordinator Epidemiology & Biostatistics Full Time 85045BR Job Summary Please note: This is a 12 months contract, we offer full benefits (medical, dental, vision) & retirement & pension plans. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $52,800 - $64,500 (Annual Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html Department Description The Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics (DEB) is concerned with understanding the causes of disease and health conditions in populations and interventions to reduce their impact on patients and the public health. The department is one of forty-one units within the School of Medicine (SOM) and includes two main sets of activities: 1) the administrative and scientific home for a large set of epidemiological research projects, and 2) training in epidemiology for health science graduate students, fellows, house staff, and faculty. The Department has strong ties to all elements of the UCSF campus but especially to the Department of Medicine's Divisions of the General Internal Medicine, SFGH and VAMC; to the Department of Family and Community Medicine; to the Institute of Health Policy Studies; the UCSF AIDS Research Institute; the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS), the Center for Health and Community, Global Health Sciences (GHS) and the Institute for Human Genetics (IHG). The incumbent reports to the manager for all aspects of the Department. Important objectives include ensuring compliance with applicable agency and University policies and guidelines.
