The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking an experienced Product Manager - Technology Solutions to join our Platform Construction team in Seattle, WA. This position is crucial to advancing our construction technology integration journey. The ideal candidate will lead the research, integration, implementation, roll out and continued support of new technology solutions, which are essential to advancing technology within our New Construction line of business. The ideal candidate should possess experience with the integration, rollout, and continued support of industry-standard platforms such as Procore and ACC. Additionally, they should have a keen interest in exploring and identifying new solutions that enable our Construction Technology team to push the boundaries of what is possible and continually improve project delivery. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Product Ownership: Develop and communicate the vision, strategy, roadmap, deployment and administration of technology solutions to support and enhance operational processes.
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute technology initiatives that align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Technology and Field teams to ensure seamless software integrations and adoption.
  • Administrative Oversight: Manage administrative functions related to technology tools and platforms.
  • Training & Support: Develop and deliver training programs while providing ongoing support for new technology implementations.
  • Project Setup & Management: Assist in configuring and administering multiple technology solutions to support project needs.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation, process guides, and training material.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with IT, consultants, and software vendors to implement and sustain technology integrations.
  • Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive ongoing improvements.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct research to identify emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a related construction technology role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Working knowledge of construction project platforms such as InEight, Procore, and Autodesk Construction Cloud is required.
  • Deep understanding of construction processes, tools, and challenges is highly desirable.
  • Strong track record of successfully managing products through their lifecycle-from ideation to launch and beyond. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other product management methodologies is preferred.
  • Ability to conduct user research and translate feedback into actionable features.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends, usage data, and ROI metrics. The ability to create KPIs and measure product success is essential.
  • Clear vision for the product's roadmap and alignment with company goals. This includes anticipating industry trends and positioning the product as a market leader.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams-engineers, designers, sales, marketing, and customers. They must be able to align various stakeholders to the product vision.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, identify opportunities, and propose innovative yet feasible solutions in construction workflows.
  • Familiarity with driving adoption in a traditionally slow-to-change industry. Experience with navigating resistance and proving the value of new technology is key.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for advancing the industry and staying updated on the latest technologies and trends shaping construction and design.
  • Advances proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook required advanced knowledge of excel a plus.
  • Advance knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Autodesk suite of tools.
  • Knowledge of common construction software such Stratus, Bluebeam, etc is desired.

The pay range for this position is $80,100- $134,400 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
