On May 12, 2025, Church & Dwight announced the acquisition of Touchland, a premium hand hygiene brand known for its innovative and design-forward sanitizing solutions.

The Role

This is a hybrid role based out of our corporate office in Ewing, NJ.

The VP of Global Connected Commerce will report to the Global Chief Digital Growth Officer and lead a high-performance cross-functional team of specialists and subject matter experts. We're looking for a nimble, curious, growth mindset leader who can further and profitably accelerate that. A cross-functional team is in place across sales, marketing, and capabilities that will be the core team for this leader to lead, along with partners from IT, supply chain, finance, etc., who will help meet and beat digital growth objectives.

This individual is a visionary who will partner closely with Church & Dwight's marketing and sales teams, digital and media agencies, and strategic third-party vendors to measure, optimize, and scale the connected commerce growth. S/he will own the platforms and partnerships in service of connected commerce, advanced analytics, and future-ready thinking across the digital ecosystem. As the 'bar-raiser,' this leader will also be responsible for providing broad-based digital commerce education. S/he is a respected industry leader with strong external relationships and a track record of delivering results, innovative approaches, and strategies to profitable growth.

S/he will have purview of growing pure play and omni retailer sales, core capabilities, and marketing for the U.S., Church & Dwight's biggest market in the world, and work with the international markets to elevate digital capabilities and eCommerce penetration to best of breed standards.

Church & Dwight is looking for a high-performing, strategic thinker with the ability to roll up their sleeves and dive deep for execution excellence. This individual is someone who has a growth mindset and truly thrives in an agile and fast-paced work environment with autonomy to drive outcomes. The ideal candidate is a 'big picture thinker' with a knack for flawless execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to a team of six direct reports and a cross-functional sales and marketing organization of 26.

  • Focus on coaching and developing talent across all levels.

  • Direct ownership of U.S. eCommerce P&L, while providing indirect oversight for the rest of the world, driving both revenue growth and profitability.

  • Drive online sales/digital commerce acceleration while increasing margins and accelerating omnichannel digital penetration for Church & Dwight.

  • Increase online market share across all Church & Dwight power brands.

  • Lead and manage eCommerce agencies, brokers and other partners to drive planning, budgeting, outcomes and impact that aligns with the category or brand requirements

  • Act as a change agent introducing new channels and commerce opportunities across brands.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including media, shopper marketing, field sales, sales strategy to ensure alignment with all customer requirements as well as brand content needs to deliver brand's objectives.

  • Lead negotiations and overall management of pure play customers (primarily Amazon and Chewy), agency partners, third-party relationships, and top US Retail Media Networks with the objective of maximizing value for Church & Dwight through diligent contract handling and driving ROI performance across investments toward eCommerce growth.

  • Develop and execute marketplace strategies beyond Amazon in partnership with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.

  • Actively participate in M&A exploration and brand evaluation to support portfolio expansion.

  • Demonstrate influential leadership with very strong written and verbal communications skills, with experience presenting to Senior Executives and Board members.

  • Elevate Church & Dwight's cross-functional 'eCommerce and Digital IQ' through trend analysis, structured and unstructured learning, and knowledge-sharing initiatives such as newsletters and workshops.

Experience and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.

  • CPG experience required.

  • Preference for the candidate to have worked at Amazon.

  • At least 10 years eCommerce and digital growth experience working with major pure players, and omni channel retailers, direct to consumer etc. with good experience in building and scaling US eCommerce business.

  • Extensive experience (+10 years) of team leadership and senior management.

  • General Management experience with full P&L oversight and ownership, commercially focused proven brand and business experience.

  • Ability to think strategically to drive eCommerce, bringing innovative approaches to measure, scale and drive eCommerce growth.

  • Working knowledge of Amazon, Walmart, Target, Instacart, Go Puff and other major retailer ecosystems with experience in P&L management.

  • Expertise with areas around digital shelf, online market share measurement, price pack architecture, retail media, eCommerce content, eCommerce technology providers etc.

  • Highly skilled at investment prioritization, data driven decision making.

  • Demonstrates a strong customer facing presence and negotiation experience at leadership level.

  • Exhibits a high degree of curiosity and engagement in all aspects of eCommerce, customer behavior, and consumer experience.

  • Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to raising performance standards across direct and cross-functional teams in pursuit of growth.

  • Possesses exceptional project management capabilities with experience managing multiple agency and third-party relationships.

  • Maintains a strong bias for action, consistently testing and learning through A/B scenarios while staying current with industry trends and best practices.

  • Applies a performance-driven mindset continually assessing what's working, what's not working using data, analytics and storytelling to adjust, repackage, eliminate and accelerate content for the brands.

  • Effectively collaborates with external stakeholders, including consulting firms, CPG peers, industry leaders, and digitally native companies - to keep an eye on 'what good looks like' across the sector.
