Cash Management Specialist

The Cash Management Specialist is primarily responsible for servicing cash management clients and assisting with the sales process, including completing forms for product set-ups and potentially selling and/or cross-selling cash management services when working with clients and prospects.

Position Expectations:

SERVICE - 45%

  • Solidifies customer retention efforts by providing a superior level of customer service.
  • Serves as the primary resource for Cash Management Products (including answering customer questions, password resets, and scanner troubleshooting).
  • Assists with the completion of Cash Management maintenance forms and entering changes into the system.
  • Assists with requests for temporary & permanent increases for RDC & ACH services.
  • Responds to customer questions or concerns in a timely fashion and resolves customer issues in coordination with Operations.

ADMINISTRATIVE/OPERATIONAL - 50%

  • Assists Cash Management personnel in the sales process with completion of set-up forms and credit requests.
  • Accurately enters Cash Management set-ups into the system for Merchant Capture, ACH, Business Online Banking, and fraud prevention.
  • Completes maintenance needed for Merchant Capture, ACH, Business Online Banking, fraud prevention products, and additional cash management products.
  • Maintains professional relationships with vendors.
  • Adheres to established departmental and bank policies and procedures, including yet not limited to, compliance to state and federal banking regulatory requirements as implemented by the Quality Assurance Department under the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Maintains scanner and token stock inventory.
  • Ensures policies, procedures, and forms are reviewed in a timely manner and are up to date with current processes.
  • Ensures completion of annual risk review of RDC/ACH customers and periodic review of lower risk Business customers.
  • Recommends changes to more efficiently and effectively support services offered.
  • Serves as a resource to the Retail Branches for issues related to all Cash Management products offered to business customers.

SALES - 5%

  • Supports cash management products/services to meet client's financial needs including Business Online Banking, Merchant Capture, merchant services, business debit/credit card services, business deposit products, ACH Services, Fraud Prevention Services, and any other ancillary cash management services.
  • Maintains and develops the Bank's existing and new customer base through cross selling opportunities with existing and prospective business customers.
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate.

Required Education and Experience:

  • One year in banking or financial services
  • Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel
  • HS diploma or GED

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Past experience with Cash Management products.
  • A minimum of 2 years of banking experience related to retail or business banking, preferably to include sales.
  • Working knowledge of business deposit practices.
