Mid-Level Wastewater Engineer

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing exciting success and sustainable growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a mid-level wastewater engineer serving both our public and private clients.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the design of wastewater treatment facilities for municipalities, industrial clients, and investor-owned utilities
• Carrying out studies/evaluations, treatment process calculations, and detailed design tasks
• Collaborating with project managers and clients toward implementation of designs
• Writing engineering reports and technical memoranda
• Representing the company at industry technical conferences and events, when assigned
• Assisting with new treatment system commissioning and process optimization

Some travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have:

• A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil, environmental, biological, chemical engineering or related field from an accredited college or university, and at least two (2) years of relevant work experience

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• EIT certification
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment process design and technologies, including aerobic and anaerobic biological systems, including anaerobic MBR design
• Basis of design development
• Technology selection and equipment sizing and specification
• Hydraulic calculations
• AutoCAD experience
• Experience with wastewater characterization and laboratory methods
• Demonstrated ability as a critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies
