Salary Range |
The pay range is $3,800-4,000 for a standard 1.0 credit (4 semester hour) course. New part-time faculty start at $3,800 (Adjunct Level 1). |
Job Summary |
The Elmhurst Learning and Success Academy (
ELSA) is a four-year certificate program for students with disabilities. We are seeking an individual to teach Educational Coaching. This course allows students to develop and practice advocacy skills based on individual needs to receive resource support with course assignments, research, planning, time management, organizational skills for campus life, and problem-solving strategies. The course will be offered:
Fall Semester
ELS 002 Educational Coaching (Mondays/Wednesdays: 1:00 - 2:00 PM)
Spring Semester

To be a successful
ELSA Adjunct, candidates should be invested in being collaborative, possess the desire to work in higher education, and must be open to working with students with varying abilities. |
Essential Functions |
- Plans, organizes, and delivers educational coaching.
- Collaborates with Director and other adjunct faculty to evaluate, revise, and develop coaching curriculum as needed for mastery of course content.
- Provides students with assessment and clear feedback regarding academic performance.
- Documents student progress and maintains accurate records such as attendance, grading, and achievement of student learning outcomes.
- Demonstrates flexibility in working and problem solving with staff regarding student/class needs.
- Maintains office hours.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to collaborate and build rapport with students.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's degree preferred
|
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements |
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. |
