Ever-Green Energy is looking for a team member responsible to the General Manager for the operation and maintenance of the heating and cooling facilities and related equipment. This individual ensures the plant is operated in compliance with applicable safety and environmental requirements and in accordance with established operational procedures and good engineering practices, maintenance is planned and conducted timely and in accordance with the facility's maintenance management program, and develops and supports a culture of continuous improvement. Provides direction and facilitates maintenance work by contractors and vendors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Supervise the operation of production facilities and related equipment to achieve safe, reliable and efficient operation in compliance with Company, OSHA, air and water quality regulations. 2. Scheduling of heating and cooling production equipment for preventive and corrective maintenance and facilitate vendor and contractor work. 3. Routinely inspect and monitor plant equipment and operations, lead efforts to identify root causes of plant operational problems and develop recommendations for resolution, and prevention of reoccurrence when applicable. 4. Perform troubleshooting of equipment and system operational problems and initiate actions to correct while ensuring necessary follow through to completion. Participate in troubleshooting of maintenance issues with plant staff as needed. 5. Continuously reviews and improves plant operating practices and procedures. Ensures communication and/or training of these changes is provided to O&M Technicians. 6. Implements refresher and Just-In-Time training consistent with current and upcoming plant activities to improve operational consistency and effectiveness. 7. Develops recommendations for improved effectiveness, efficiency, reliability, and safety, including modification, addition, or replacement of equipment, and changes in operating procedures. 8. Be on 24 hour call to resolve operational problems as necessary and inform General Manager for situations that require immediate attention. 9. Coordinate availability of water treatment and other supplies necessary for plant operation. 10. Monitor regulatory compliance and assist in managing the requirements of the facilities permits. 11. Reviews daily operating logs, reports, and data; ensures inconsistencies or apparent problems are investigated, addressed, and resolved. Uses this information to improve plant procedures, processes, and operations. 12. Performs other duties as assigned. The employee is occasionally required to climbing ladders/ropes/scaffolding; crawling; crouching; far visual acuity at 20 feet or more; fine manipulation of picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in gross manipulation; gross manipulation of seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand(s); foot/leg controls; kneeling, lifting and carrying of 50 lbs., peripheral vision; pushing; pulling, reaching at/below shoulder level by extending hand and arms from 0 up to 150 degrees in a vertical arc; reaching overhead by extending hands and arms in a 150 to 180 degrees vertical arc; stooping; confined space with limited entry or exit. The employee works 50% in an office environment; 50% in steam or chilled water plants, and may be required to perform some duties in underground vaults and/or confined spaces. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, dust, fumes, high pressure steam, and high temperatures, and hazards associated with moving machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. PPE will be provided as needed. Wage Transparency Statement: We are committed to providing salary ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations. The salary range for this position is: $105,000 to $130,000. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
