Systems Engineer

Applying use and application of standard engineering principles, theories, and concepts under the guidance of the Lead Systems Engineer
• Conducting research, analysis, compilation, design, development, and/or test of technical engineering data in support of customer requirements in one or more engineering disciplines
• Performing or assisting with Requirements Management tasks including:
• Translating end-user needs to unambiguous, measurable, testable, verifiable, and feasible system performance requirements
• Tracking requirements stability, traceability, and change process
• Performing verification and validation planning
• Planning and conducting systems engineering, engineering analyses, trade studies, and feasibility assessments supporting systems engineering activities, including technical support for Analyses of Alternatives (AoA)
• Performing or assisting with System/Subsystem analysis and specification review
• Performing or assisting with hardware design with respect to component/assembly analysis, specification, integration, and testing
• Performing or assisting with systems engineering support over a broad range of hardware types including RF assemblies, power supplies (AC and DC), FPGAs, digital signal processors, network/server equipment, and embedded architectures
• Participating in technical design reviews and meetings, such as the System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
• Supporting the development and execution of requirement verification and test plans, test objectives, test measures, and evaluation criteria
• Providing input to and reviewing technical drawings
• Building system model in Cameo using Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) practices

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and two or more (2+) years of work-related experience
• Demonstrated experience applying one or more systems engineering processes in the execution of projects, such as:
  • o Stakeholder Requirements Definition (operational requirements / CONOPS)
    o Requirements Analysis (development, decomposition, traceability, RTVM)
    o System Design (definition, analysis, development)
    o Integration
    o Test and Evaluation
    
• Experience creating one or more of the following:
  • o Technical Data Packages (TDPs)
    o Product Verification Reports
    o Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs)
    o Design Trade Studies
    o Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
    
• Experience writing technical reports and briefings
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• A strong desire to learn and problem-solve
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint

• Direct experience with RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, power meters, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes
• Experience with open architecture constructs like Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C5ISR)/Electronic Warfare Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS), Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Intermediate level of proficiency with one or more of the following:
  • o hardware and software design
    o principles and operations of radar systems
    o analog/digital signal processing
    o modeling and simulation of physical systems
    
• Proficiency in the one or more of the following toolsets:
  
  • o Modeling Software: MATLAB, Simulink, Cameo Systems Modeler
    o Radar Signal and Data Processing Toolsets
    o C++, Python, or other object-oriented programming language
    

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL

• 15-20% travel may be required
