Location: Little Rock, AR | Statewide Coverage/Travel



  • Supervises Foreman and Sr. Foreman along with their respective employees in the daily execution of right of way maintenance.
  • Conducts routine field inspections to review the quantity and quality of work being performed. Reviews right of way crew production in order to maximize efficiency.
  • Assists with bid preparation by acting as a SME to provide input on resource and scheduling requirements necessary for preparing quotes to fulfill Scopes of Work provided by customers.
  • Assures the availability and use of protective and safety equipment by right of way crews. Promotes and enforces safety standards and adherence to safety rules, regulations, and practices.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and oversees right of way work with the ROW Supervisor, especially during emergencies.
  • Must understand general safety rules and policies, promote good relations with other crew members, patron cooperatives, and the general public, and responds to customer complaints in the absence of crew Foremen.
  • Provides information regarding departmental activities to ROW management.
  • Performs traffic control duties around work area as needed.
  • Must be familiar with all forms of ROW equipment, tools, materials, and supplies to ensure safe and efficient operation and utilization.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, inspecting, bidding, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
  • Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.



Minimum Qualifications
At least 4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
As a condition of employment, this position requires a valid driver's license, pre-employment drug test, and must be able to pass DOT physical.

  • Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator
  • Temporary Traffic Control
  • Valid Class A or B CDL

Highly repetitive, low physical. Highly repetitive type of work which requires concentration in the performance of tasks for consistent time cycles as prescribed by the tasks.
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds; regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must possess effective working knowledge of: OSHA safety regulations, state highway departments regulations, state and local labor regulations, equipment necessary to perform right of way clearing, first aid procedures, EPA regulations, and regulations governing the use of restricted pesticides. Must be able to travel to various locations and stay overnight as required to complete work assignments. Must be able to work extra hours when necessary and report to work whenever needed during non-scheduled working periods. In pursuant of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to AECC/AECI standards and processes.
