Job Description

Allied Universal is hiring a Firearms Compliance Representative. The Representative will ensure the company (MM1) is in compliance with all City, State and Federal and Contractual rules and laws governing the employment of all contractor personnel. This can include investigating, conducting audits and meeting with members of Operations and Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:

    Ensure that all personnel maintain their assigned firearm in good repair
  • Ensure that the Security Professionals in their assigned area obtain and maintain proper state and local permitting at all times
  • Instruct pre assignment active shooter classes as needed, to include semiannual refresher training
  • Perform weapons inspections
  • Provide security professional general training as needed
  • Conduct First Aid/CPR/AED training as needed
  • Complete and local and/or state required reporting on licensing and training

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or five (5) years of verifiable work history
  • Ability to meet and maintain any applicable state licensing requirements
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, CPR/First Aid/AED instructor certification
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:
  • Prior work or educational experience involving the care and maintenance of firearms
Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Prior military experience
  • Prior law enforcement experience
  • Inventory management experience
  • Certification in one or more of the following:
    • Armorer
    • National Rifle Association Basic Pistol
    • National Rifle Association Personal Protection
    • National Rifle Association Range Safety Officer

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Indoor environment with minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is
  • Major activities include working on PC while sitting, telephone/radio use, sitting, standing, speaking listening, observing
  • Physical effort is limited, to include some standing, walking, and sitting, minimal to no stooping or kneeling
  • Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions

BENEFITS:

Salary: $71,958 / year
