Overview

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is a diversified provider of engineering, environmental, oil and gas pipeline engineering, infrastructure operations & maintenance and remediation services. We have an immediate need for an experienced and skilled Business Development Director to support our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of skills centered around strategic analysis, business development, and marketing in support of contract opportunities.



Responsibilities

    Drive an increase in business revenue, while expanding the presence of the company and strengthening the power of our brand
  • Build relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors
  • Propose and develop strategic partnerships while evaluating existing partnerships and business development efforts to meet company growth objectives
  • Facilitate strategic bid/no bid decisions on potential opportunities
  • Partner with internal and external teams to develop contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients
  • Foster and work to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across all teams and work functions.
  • Work with team to complete all requests for proposals (RFPs) from current and potential clients.
  • Participate in client debriefings and distribute lessons learned to improve performance
  • Coordinate strategically identified conferences, including the preparation of exhibitor materials, events planning, and capture planning
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field, MBA a plus
  • Candidate must possess a minimum of 5-10 years of business development, marketing, and proposal experience.
  • Experience in the utilities industry is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting business development targets
  • Superior technical writing skills and knowledge of the RFI/SS/RFQ/RFP proposal process required.
  • Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under rigid time constraints and deadlines.
  • Detail oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, and a team player with a focus on customer service.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Office 365
  • Knowledge of Hubspot or similar CRM's is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure
  • Basic understanding of the industry, with the ability to become a subject matter expert

Wage Data Per State Requirements

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $200,000 a year. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.

Travel

The incumbent would be undertaking peripatetic employment in that the nature of the job may require travel to client sites not to exceed five (5) days at a time. Some travel associated with business development (conferences, summits, etc.) will be required.
