Overview

The Account Manager- Destinations will work as the liaison between Internova and the company's preferred Destination Partners including Destination and global Tourism Board partners. The Destinations Account Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing marketing plans and promotions to increase Preferred Destination Partner revenue, exposure, awareness, and education.



Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Campaign Management

    Create and Manage Destination Partner annual marketing plans to increase exposure, education, and marketing execution across B2B and B2C channels
  • Monitor and adjust marketing activities; continually review programs and suggest improvements throughout the year as deemed necessary to maximize partnerships
  • Lead direct destination marketing campaigns and work across the marketing team on other marketing initiatives, such as print and online
  • Evaluate marketing campaigns and track ROI; Gather data to support KPI metrics and provide recap report with Proof of Performance
  • Responsible for all communication of programs to internal teams and members to ensure engagement and support including extranet updates, training calls, mailings, and more
  • Execute multiple marketing plans simultaneously
  • Other duties as assigned

Creative Development & Execution

  • Work with Creative Team members (Designers and Copywriters) on the development of creative marketing materials for all respective Destination Partners

Partner Management

  • Work with the Director/Associate Director, Destinations to receive contracted marketing funding/terms
  • Consult and maintain relationship with Destination Partners to make recommendations, renew and grow annual agreements

Cross-Functional Team Collaboration

  • Engage with other Marketing Account Managers to develop and execute marketing initiatives which are co-partnered with other supplier partners, such as hotels, tour operators, cruise lines, air
  • Coordinate Destination Marketing tactics across Internova business units
  • Collaborate with Event Planning team to ensure Destination Partner participation at regional and annual meetings is maximized

Budget Management & Reporting

  • Obtain budget amounts and manage all facets within the revenue/expense parameters
  • Compile final budgets; produce program analysis and performance recaps for partners


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, tourism, business administration or equivalent (required)
  • 5+ years' post-college marketing experience; preferably in the tourism industry and with a tourism board or DMC
  • Self-motivated with the strong initiative to work independently
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, complex partnerships and large program budgets
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Exemplified development of creative programs that deliver on department and business goals
  • Demonstrated strong communication and presentation skills with a variety of audiences
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, word processing, database, and spreadsheet software
  • Must be extremely organized and able to work on multiple programs simultaneously
  • Ability to travel
