Responsibilities:
- Follow all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines. - Read and follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions. - Remove scrap from feed conveyer and scrap carts. - Empty MR conveyer and cut down blocks to be baled. - Place foam on conveyer to feed the baler free of any foreign objects or debris. - Monitors machine operations and control panels. - Wire finish bale securely and remove from baler machine. - Operator must weigh and apply a SAP ticket to each individual bale. - Must keep a written record of daily production. - Team-oriented and self-directed to achieve outlined goals. - Train and support new employees as they are on-boarded. - Treat material and equipment with care and concern at all times. - Committed to quality, safety and communication. - Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol. - Able to work well with minimal supervision. - Report problems or concerns to management immediately. - Notify a supervisor, QC and/or mechanic of any safety, quality, and mechanical issues that may arise. - Clean work area and performs other routine duties. - May work on special projects/assignments upon request.
Qualifiations: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: - High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred - Positive Attitude - No prior experience or training required. LANGUAGE SKILLS: - Ability to read and interpret (in English) documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: - Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide two and three digit numbers. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work on feet and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted must be able to work overtime as required.
