AVP Medical Director

We're actively seeking a talented AVP Medical Director to join our Underwriting Team. This role can be based out of our Newport Beach, CA office or be remote.

How you'll help move us forward:

* Provide consultative expertise to underwriting staff on mortality and morbidity questions.

* Participate in mortality and morbidity research that will inform underwriting guidelines.

* Display superb ability to teach medical topics with effective PowerPoint presentations.
* Assist in project work that may involve data analysis and presenting results to Senior Leadership and Risk Management Committee.

The experience you bring:

* Minimum of 8 years of experience as a fulltime Life Insurance Medical Director
* Board Certified in Insurance Medicine
* Active membership in American Academy of Insurance Medicine and continue medical education.
* Possess a current medical license to practice medicine in the USA

* Comfortable working in an onsite or remote environment, developing and maintaining relationships across other corporate departments such as actuarial, claims and structured settlements.

* Aspire for ongoing development of your career with potential to assume a future Chief Medical officer role.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
