Staff Accountant

Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.

In 2018, GPC moved operations into a newly renovated 300,000 sq. foot facility that will foster our continued growth as we continue to be recognized as an undisputed leader in our industry.

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting financial operations by performing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting. This role works under the supervision of senior accounting staff to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Support audits by providing documentation and ensuring adherence to internal controls
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and assist in resolving issues
• Work with accounting team and other departments to streamline processes and provide accurate financial information
• Learn and understand ERP system and manufacturing processes
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or pursuing degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1+ years of accounting experience; internships or entry-level roles acceptable
• Ability to interpret financial data and perform basic financial analysis
• High accuracy in handling financial records and performing reconciliations
• Proficiency using an ERP system and Microsoft Excel skills
