Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.

In 2018, GPC moved operations into a newly renovated 300,000 sq. foot facility that will foster our continued growth as we continue to be recognized as an undisputed leader in our industry.

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves advanced accounting tasks, financial analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
  • Assist in developing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic planning
  • Maintain, examine, and analyze financial records and transactions in accordance with accounting principles and business procedures
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing training and support to ensure team success
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ; CPA a plus
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience ; Manufacturing or construction experience preferred
  • Strong ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and compliance tasks
  • Proficiency using an ERP system and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
