Job Title: Financial Services Specialist(Budget analysis) Location: Richmond, VA 23219 Pay Rate: $25.00 On W2 without benefits Duration: 6+ months Work Hours: 40 hours per week Shift Timing: Day Job Description: The department is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Fiscal Tech/Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in financial management and ensure accurate tracking and processing of financial transactions. Required Experience: Assign invoices to the appropriate approvers. Process invoices for timely payment. Maintain detailed logs of invoices and payments for tracking purposes. Generate and analyze financial reports. Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency. Journal funds between cost codes as needed/ journaling funds from one cost code to another Track and analyze monthly budgetary expenditures. Perform other financial duties as assigned. Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement: The department is seeking an accountant with strong skills in analysis and reporting. This role goes beyond basic data entry; they need someone who can generate and interpret reports, providing insights into spending and revenue accounts. While experience working with the state is preferred, it is essential that the candidate has expertise in creating reports and conducting budget analysis, as other state experience alone will not suffice.
