Requisition ID# 165095 Job Category: Project / Program Management Job Level: Manager/Principal Business Unit: Customer & Enterprise Solutions Work Type: Hybrid Job Location: Oakland Department Overview The Income Qualified Programs and Disadvantaged Communities (IQP) department within Customer Programs manages a suite of programs intended to benefit income-qualified households and disadvantaged communities (DACs) across PG&E's service territory. The three primary programs include the Energy Savings Assistance (ESA) Program, which provides no-cost home weatherization, energy efficient appliances, and energy education to qualifying customers, and the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) and Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) bill discount programs for qualifying households. The IQP team also oversees the REACH program, offering bill credits for customers with past due account balances. In addition, the IQP team supports various pilot programs and program studies and evaluations, including several programs designed to increase electrification in rural communities. Position Summary The IQP Strategy and Policy team is seeking Manager, Financial Assistance Programs and Rebates. The successful candidate will manage a team of staff (full-time employees and contractors) implementing the CARE, FERA and REACH programs and serve as the subject matter expert for these programs for both internal and external audiences. The selected candidate will manage complex aspects of program design and implementation, including program ideation and development, policy and regulatory related functions, tracking and reporting, measurement and evaluation, and implementing program improvements and modifications throughout the program lifecycles. The Manager will work closely with the department Director and other internal Directors and Officers in reporting program outcomes, developing multi-year program budgets, and optimizing program operations. This position will lead the development and delivery of presentations to a broad group of internal and external stakeholders and manage working relationships with a wide range of parties. The successful candidate will work closely with the Energy Division and other Investor-Owned Utility teams administering CARE and FERA, to both implement the current regulatory directives for the programs and to plan for future program iterations and modifications. The position also requires close coordination with other income-qualified program offerings and related policies for utility and non-utility programs. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the state's income-qualified program landscape, utility programs, and low-income customers, alongside the ability to effectively lead and manage cross-functional projects and a dynamic, high performing team. The person in this role must possess an ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions, address complex strategic issues, have exceptional written and verbal communication for the desired audience, and be an agile learner. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
