Position Overview

Under the direction of the Chief Risk Officer this position will assist and support development, implementation and management of several key Bank programs, including, but not limited to: Enterprise Risk Management (ERM, Vendor Management), Business Continuity Plan/Policy, Compliance (Complaint Monitoring, Policy Governance), and BSA/Fraud & Security (Monitoring, ID Theft & Security Management).

This role is intended to support the Compliance, Risk and BSA teams universally. As such work will vary based on overall business need.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Assists in completion of all Enterprise Risk Management activities as needed.
  • Supports all risk management functions including, BCP, Vendor Management, Contract Management, and Physical Security.
  • Assists in Bank's BSA/ Fraud reviews as needed.
  • Assists in the maintenance of the bank's risk management system (Quantivate).
  • Responsible for return and handling of Counterfeit funds.
  • Assists in entering controls and risks into the Bank's risk system (Quantivate)
  • In partnership with team leadership, assists in the development, implementation and communication of risk related policies and procedures.
  • Assists in gathering information needed to provide risk reports and metric for Sr. Management.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma Required. Some college preferred.
  • 1-2 years previous Banking experience preferred.
  • Previous exposure to risk management programs, policies and requirements helpful but not required.
  • Commitment to continuous education expected.
  • Strong analytical and reading comprehension skills, with ability to conduct research.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations with poise and tact.
  • Able to clearly articulate ideas and information consistently, effectively in both written and verbal communications.
  • Must have proficient computer skills, including Word, Power Point, and Excel, and excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and math skills.

As a member of the Compliance & Security team you may be responsible for certain aspects of our Incident Response Program, including, but not limited to, administrative, consultative or active engagement in activities around the Incident Response Program policy and processes.
