IP & Brand Protection Specialist

Epson, a global technology leader, is seeking an exceptional IP & Brand Protection Specialist to join our Brand Protection team. You will be responsible for implementing Brand Protection online enforcement strategies, and handling related matters including but not limited to Trademarks, Patents, and Copyright. You will manage a high volume of reporting and tracking for the department and act as liaison to Seiko Epson Corporation in Japan with limited supervision.

This position is 100% remote.

What you will be doing:

Brand Protection

• Manages and updates the Brand Protection share drive to ensure all required documents are allocated in its corresponding libraries.
• Maintains Case Management database.
• Implements processes that are compliant with internal and external standards and reporting requirements.
• Monitors, reviews, and analyzes global online marketplaces for infringing consumer products, collaborating closely with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Files takedowns regarding trademarks and copyright violations using third-party monitoring tools, platform complaint programs, or directly via other party's policies.
• Implements data-driven strategies for brand enforcement, including tracking and reporting.
• Identifies high value targets and online trends for further investigation.

Intellectual Property

• Maintains organized and up-to-date records of all trademark, patent, and copyright-related activities, correspondence, and documentation
• Prepares and maintains financial and budget reports required by Seiko Epson Corporation
• Authenticates products and coordinates authentication with internal stakeholders as needed.
• Monitors Epson's trademarks and competitors' trademarks for potential infringement or unauthorized use.

• Microsoft Office experience, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• 2-3 years experience trademark or other intellectual property experience preferred
• Completion of a 2-year program at a community college, technical or commercial school, or equivalent experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred
