Overview

The Chief Security Office (CSO) focuses on running security operations globally to protect Deutsche Bank's people, infrastructure and information. The Group (CSO) is accountable for the optimization of information and corporate security operations of Deutsche Bank as well as for all matters regarding the organization of the Unit. The CSO Operational and Governance Specialist is primarily responsible for providing support to the Chief Security Officer and the CSO leadership team in the day-to-day management of the Chief Security office. The role reports to the CSO Head of Group Risk Committee (GRC).

What You'll Do

  • Review test cases to evaluate the IS capability / control design effectiveness and operational effectiveness, Executes day-to-day operational IS control testing work and contributes to the delivery of the testing and manages scope of deliverables

  • Undertakes testing assignments, drafts test findings for review, facilitates issue tracking and validates them to testing closure, Drafts high quality test reports for review by senior management

  • Executes IS Control effectiveness test fieldwork in line with the agreed test approach e.g. documenting Process Flows, identification of key risks, testing of key controls to determine whether they are properly designed and are operating effectively and documenting work in accordance with standards, Acts as a competent partner and challenger to clients in the testing process

  • Communicates openly with management and the internal stakeholders; keeps them informed of potential findings and escalate problems/delays accordingly, Proactively develops and maintains professional consultative working relationships with the CSO function, clients and respective support areas and will use a range of approaches to collect relevant information to assess key risks

  • Follows key operational procedures and ensures adherence, Focus on utilizing the capacity in an efficient and effective manner, Provide input suggestions to improve the quality

  • Partners with other divisional/teams during IS Control effectiveness tests to ensure a collaborative approach

Skills You'll Need

  • Advanced experience in the Information Technology area common operating systems, databases, threat operations, SOC, Penetration Testing, vulnerability management, cloud security, as well as Third Party Risk Management or in Information Security Audit, preferably in the financial industry

  • Clear understanding of the relationship between IS risk and how this applies to business processes

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent qualifications

  • Ability to monitor, track and clearly communicate progress, escalate issue when appropriate, Strong knowledge of IS threat analysis and frameworks (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK Framework)

  • Strong understanding of cyber security standards (e.g. NIST, CIS, OWASP, ISO27001) and knowledge of the regulatory environment in the financial sector (e.g., DORA, KAIT, BAIT cloud guidelines)

  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills

  • Self-driven, eager to learn and well-organized team player

  • Professional industry recognized certifications (e.g., CISA, CCSP, CISSP, OSCP) are highly beneficial to cover a broad range of Information Security areas where relationship with the Business or Information Technology (IT) is required

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville, FL office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $78,000 to $111,800. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
