We are now looking for a professional who is able to take the position of HREX Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking Technology Configuration Manager within the HREX Organization. Your role will be to manage the technology element in the Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking. orchestrate suppliers for applications development and maintenance in the Workday space. Ensures all required payroll configurations change impacts are assessed, reviewed and tested prior to changes being implemented
Your Role and Responsibilities
*Responsible for approving, signing off, and building solutions to be implemented in the ABB Production environment involving Workday Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, and Benefits for the US and Canada, ensuring quality is maintained.
*Evaluates proposed changes or impacts to Workday PATTb and ensures proper testing before implementation
*Expertise in configuring absence rules, accruals, and reporting in HRIS systems like Workday.
*Experience in configuring and managing time tracking systems, ensuring accuracy in capturing employee work hours.
*Defines the technical solution and ensures alignment with other modules and IS applications through collaboration with HR, IS solution architects, and delivery units, Service Owner and/or Workday application Lead.
*Supports validation of Year-End processes for the US and Canada, including generating W2, T4, and other relevant forms.
*Reviews and signs off the functional and technical use case specifications.
*Proactively supports issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays or any other form of negative impact to a project or service.
*Provides consultation, advice, and support for the workday releases with new features and changes to existing one's.
*Maps business process demands to existing or new IS services, supporting new demands and projects in collaboration with IS Service Owners
*Collaborates, defines, optimizes, and reviews incident management, problem management, service requests, and all processes related to service delivery and operation.
*Dedicates resources to monitor problem volumes, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) quality, solution timelines, and follows up on potential improvement opportunities.
*Supports the Application Owner and business to understand and document the flow of information through the business processes and IT systems; this includes all the stages from the data entering a system to its transformation to a report.
*Responsible for the day-to-day execution of IS domain service operation delivery, escalation, and relationship management.
*Responsible for ensuring service restoration (within the agreed SLA), business impact analysis, and prioritization in incident management.

Qualifications for the role
  • To thrive and lead effectively in this critical role, you should bring the following qualifications, skills and experience:
  • Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in computer engineering, information systems, computer science or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IS area, especially within application and system lifecycle, IS Service Management and IS Project Management
  • Workday Payroll experience in design and configuration for US and Canada.
  • Workday experience in designing solution to Absence and Time tracking modules. Ability to configure and analyze the impact of new changes.
  • Workday experience in Benefit module to design solutions for plans and eligibility.
  • Knowledge in Vendor Management
  • Experience in working with global teams
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Workday payroll certification is preferred
