Manufacturing Sciences Corporation is a high-technology metals manufacturing and materials acquisition company with extensive experience in design, metal casting and rolling, fabrication, welding, and precision machining. We are especially experienced and equipped to process radioactive material in an environmentally sound, safe, and controlled manner. The right candidate will gain hands-on experience in technical sales and market intelligence by providing new customer acquisition support in medical devices, isotope manufacturing, energy, aerospace, and defense industries. This position will work closely with the Sales Engineer to research complex organizations, identify key decision-makers, drive early-stage engagement efforts, and update and maintain the contact database. The associate role will be critical in identifying new business opportunities for MSC's differing business streams and providing that information to the sales team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technical, team-centered, and collaborative. The position is a hybrid position with the ability to work from home; however, working in the office is key to learning about the organization's daily operations and the nuances of the manufacturing floor. This part-time position works at least 10 hours per week with potential for more. The individual will be required to demonstrate the following skills: 1. Work independently & self-directed 2. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 3. Driven, punctual, attention to detail, strong organizational, and priority-setting skills 4. Interface and build relationships with all levels of employees, including executive management 5. Strong Computer Skills The essential functions are the following: 1. The position will conduct Non-Government Prospect Research to support new customer acquisition and revenue growth in medical device and isotope manufacturing, energy, aerospace, and military applications by:
2. Process Improvement- Assist management with process improvement by: a. Entering prospect research, appointment setting, and industry information into the appropriate tracking system, including: i. Placing scheduled sales appointments on calendar, including history note ii. Using the correct sales contact dispositions and data fields. iii. Opening and closing sales appointment scheduled opportunities. iv. Recording market research survey information in appropriate data fields. b. Provide feedback on current processes for prospect research and sales appointment scheduling process improvements. Identify and suggest changes to the procedures. This position does not require travel. However, there may be opportunities to travel to and work at industry and professional association trade shows and events. Minimum Required Education & Experience: 1. Minimum of two years' college experience with a technical sales or engineering major. 2. Technology Experience: a. Online Contact Research Tools - for example: LinkedIn, Hoovers, differing social media platforms, Google Alerts, and other customer research software b. Project and Time Management Software - Proficient at using project management software, Microsoft Outlook Calendar, and Microsoft OneNote is preferred c. Online Collaboration Software - proficiency in using Microsoft Teams, WebEx, or Zoom d. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote Preferred Education & Experience: * Experience in customer research, contact database admin, and/or sales appointment setting is preferred * Prior experience using Boolean searches MSC is an EEO - Employer - Disability/Vet. |
