Summary

Seeking a hands-on Plant Operations Manager with strong turnaround experience to lead commissioning, startup, and operations of a cogeneration power plant. Role includes oversight of safety, compliance, performance, and staff management. Reports to Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities



  • Lead safe and timely commissioning and startup of engine-generators and balance-of-plant systems.
  • Oversee turnaround and outage planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Ensure full regulatory and environmental compliance (including NERC, permits).
  • Maintain plant safety, reliability, and performance standards.
  • Manage budgeting, cost control, and plant operating plans.
  • Supervise and develop plant staff; lead technical training programs.
  • Provide strategic input on plant upgrades and operational improvements.



Qualifications



  • Proven turnaround and commissioning experience in combined cycle or cogeneration plants.
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role; strong team leadership skills.
  • Solid knowledge of plant systems, O&M, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage in high-pressure situations.
  • Bachelor's in technical field (or equivalent); Boiler Operator License eligibility.
  • Willing to travel 25%-50% domestically.
