Under the direction of the FCT Program Director, the Family Support and Training Manager is responsible for the administrative oversight of all Family Partner activities provided by the Community Service Agency (CSA) utilizing the Wraparound Service Planning process as defined by the Massachusetts Children's Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI). The Family Support and Training Manager, under the supervision of the FCT Program Director is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Family & Support Training service within the FCT (CSA) program in accordance with CHL's Children's Division standards, policies and procedures. Trains, coaches and supervises Family Partner Supervisor(s) and/or Family Partners. Ensures fulfillment of all state and funding mandates and contractual obligations for the FCT program.

I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Oversees day to day operation of all Family Support & Training activities in FCT and ensures all Family Support and Training services comply with contractual, licensing and agency policies and procedures.

2. Supervises, orients, trains, coaches, teaches, or assists Family Partners and Supervisors to successfully engage caregivers and youth in the Wraparound process. Identifies ongoing training needs for the FCT staff, and work with the FCT leadership team to meet these needs. Recruits new staff as needed.

3. Develops strong working relationships withfamilies and colleagues in the family/child serving human services system including clinical providers, primarily care providers, case managers, school personnel, and/or state agency representatives.

4. Oversees utilization management and assists as needed in accreditation processes.

5. Assists with ongoing quality improvement, including the direct observation of the work of FCT Family Partners, as well as collection of data using Community HealthLink Quality Assurance tools.

6. Receives complaints or concerns from stakeholders about Family Partners and/or the FS&T service process and works with the FCT Program Director to remedy issues. Informs the director of issues, drafts policy/procedure reviews, investigates concerns, counsels staff as needed and addresses concerns in collaboration with the Program Director.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:

1. High School diploma or GED.

2. Current valid US-issued driver's license and ability to provide registered and insured automobile for work related purposes including transporting clients.

3. Satisfactory CORI background check is required.

Preferred:

1. Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in a Human Services-related field from an accredited college is preferred.

Experience/Skills:

Required:

1. A minimum of two (2) years' experience working with youth/families. An associate's or bachelor's degree substitutes for one (1) year of experience working with youth/families in a Human Services setting.

2. Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs-preferably a youth with mental health needs.

3. Experience in navigating and working with any of the child/family serving systems or teaching other parents/caregivers to navigate such systems.
