General Responsibilities

Responsible for performing a variety of duties to meet the commercial services needs of business customers; expanding business banking reach in the market served; servicing existing clients through the bank's relationship management program; working with branch partners; achieving customer service goals as established in the Bank's business objectives; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the commercial services function; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.

Essential Duties



  1. Performs a variety of duties to meet the commercial services needs of business customers as follows:
  2. Provides a passionate and engaging experience to all customers, both internal and external, and at all touchpoints, through committed execution of the Fidelity Model Experience and commitment to the Core Values of the organization.
  3. Achieves established goals as outlined by Chief Lending Officer; expands business banking reach in the market served; achieves call targets and other product sales goals such as cash management, merchant services and others as assigned.
  4. Develops a book of referral sources particularly with centers of influence to develop business including accountants, attorneys and other referral sources.
  5. Solicits new business from present and prospective customers; maintains ongoing business relationships, through the bank's business relationship program, with present customers in order to take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities.
  6. Communicates with clients and prospects in a timely manner; maintains ongoing communication with prospects and/or borrowers.
  7. Provides sales information on a timely basis in order that this information may be included as part of customer service and sales performance reports.
  8. Monitors individual sales performance versus objectives on a regular basis; discusses performance with appropriate supervisor on a frequent basis.
  9. Serves as a member of the bank's sales team, e.g., Retail Branch Managers and branch staff; makes group sales calls where these types of calls will improve the opportunity for cross-selling and new business development.
  10. Actively participates in all business banking and retail sales campaigns; participates in special sales programs.
  11. Participates in civic and cultural organizations and programs.
  12. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank products and services in order to ascertain customer needs and to sell in conjunction with these needs.
  13. Provides direct service to customers of the bank with respect to deposit, loan, and other miscellaneous products and services; approves or rejects loan applications within individual lending authority.
  14. Develops deposit and/or loan arrangements.
  15. Adheres to pricing guidelines.
  16. Ensures a sound understanding of the company's policies and procedures pertaining to compliance. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. HMDA Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc. Completes all necessary compliance training in timeline provided.


Ancillary Duties



  1. May attend sales and trade meetings as a bank representative to develop new business and to gain information and leads on new business relationships.
  2. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
