TEKsystems is looking to target several Switchboard Operators for a large healthcare company out of Wichita Falls, TX! *If you have 3+ years of Switchboard Operator experience and are serious about getting a new job - please send your most updated resume to rsison @ teksystems.com * Hours: M-F 8a-5p, fully onsite, 3 month contract Job Title: Switchboard Operator Start date: 05/05/2025 Must haves: - 3 years of telephone / switchboard operator experience - Must have excellent customer service skills - Strong attention to detail and must be able to multitask, and be computer literate, managing competing priorities, and good attitude overall; team player. Job description: * Courteously and efficiently answer all incoming calls and connect callers with the correct extension and take and relay messages in an accurate and timely manner. * Respond to emergency and urgent calls from patients in a timely manner, directing callers immediately to clinical staff as necessary. * Perform operator functions including triaging calls, connecting and transferring calls, setting up conference calls, instructing users on telephone procedures, and reporting telephone and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate party. * Provide a pleasant and helpful phone contact for callers, responsible for opening and closing the switchboard, responsible for the in-house paging system, as well as performing clerical duties as assigned to maintain workflow in the department.
