Job Summary

This role will play a pivotal role in driving the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure and pipelines. You will lead a team responsible for ensuring readiness of a robust and scalable master data platform while also overseeing business intelligence (BI) initiatives and the consumption pathways for that data. Your expertise in data engineering, technology leadership, and strategic thinking will drive the success of our data management and analytics capabilities.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of data management, data scientists and integration professionals.
  • Lead data mining efforts by analyzing data from databases to drive optimization and improve business strategies.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Familiar with best practices to ensure technical stability of MDM platform.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and excellence.
  • Evaluate team performance and establish performance goals, conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Develop work plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of milestones and objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and success criteria.

Data Management

  • Develop and implement advanced data quality and data governance frameworks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of master data.
  • Design and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and data classification schemas for master data entities.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data architects and database administrators to enable data pipelines at scale.
  • Implement data profiling and data cleansing procedures to identify and rectify data quality issues.
  • Utilize data mastering techniques and tools to establish golden records and resolve data conflicts.
  • Implement and enforce data access controls, ensuring secure and auditable access to master data.
  • Evaluate and select data management software and tools to support data management, acquisition integration and system conversion initiatives.
  • Perform data integration and data synchronization tasks to ensure data consistency across systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of related experience; 3-5 in a leader/team lead capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience in systems development and project management
  • 5+ years of experience in data management with a solid understanding of data pipelines, cloud-based data platforms, data lake architecture, and data warehousing.
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience in developing and implementing governance processes that enable other teams while gaining buy-in and ensuring compliance.
  • Experience with data integration tools and technologies, including API integration, Alteryx, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), or Azure Data Factory.
  • Familiarity with data security, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing a remote team, including both onshore and offshore resources. Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide data engineers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
