The College of Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, invites applications for a faculty position in our Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, Software, or Mechanical Engineering Departments at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The college is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: space systems, spacecraft design, controls, aerodynamics, and engineering economics. However, strong candidates from all aerospace, electrical, computer, software, or mechanical engineering specialties are encouraged to apply.

The College of Engineering (COE) faculty are housed in a modern academic complex, which is adjacent to the 52,000 square foot STEM building that houses Robotics, Mechatronics, and Thermal-Energy Labs as well as our Rapid Prototyping Lab. The COE faculty also make extensive use of the Aerospace Experimentation and Fabrication laboratory complex. This building consists of a fabrication suite, space systems lab, structural dynamics lab, materials science lab, mechanical testing lab, structures lab, and dedicated faculty research labs. All of these labs feature state-of-the-art equipment for undergraduate student use. A new Eagle Learning Center (ELC) opened in Summer 2024 and houses our upgraded Wind Tunnel Laboratories and Propulsion Lab. The ELC is adjacent to several liquid and solid rocket test stands as well as our future energy park and a lunar terrain simulation field.

Qualifications

An earned doctorate in Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, Software, or Mechanical Engineering or similar degree along with related experience is highly desired; however, candidates with a Master's Degree and significant industry experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
