Responsible for performing a variety of warehouse tasks and duties. The candidate will perform duties as assigned under the direction of management. Distribute work assignments to hourly staff pertaining to quality responsibilities. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Coordinates the activities for both regular and temporary associates in assigned work area to ensure continuous workflow.
- Communicates with operations Supervisor/Manager to assist in the development of daily work schedules that minimize overtime and reduce labor costs.
- Ensures that all associates (IM and temp) are trained in job functions either by utilizing an OJT of by providing training themselves.
- Ensures that all associates are training on any new processes.
- Ensure all associates are being productive.
- May be required to run daily productivity reports.
- Perform observations on any associates who are struggling to meet productivity in order to provide feedback to them to assist in improving their productivity.
- Ensures that all associates are following 5S and Housekeeping processes.
- Responsibilities will cover across multiple departments.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Verbal and written communication skills. Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to operate warehouse equipment and work independently. Experience working in similar role in manufacturing, transportation or warehouse setting. Team player/detailed oriented. Ability to perform physically intensive labor including the associate is regularly required to talk; hear; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel; reach with hands and arms; be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk for periods of time and stand for periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Must be able to perform duties in a warehouse environment while working closely with others, working well in busy conditions which may be noisy at times. Ability to take direction and work in accordance to set standards of performance and safety. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
