Job Description: Home Equity Processor Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. We are seeking dedicated Home Equity Processors to join our Lending Team on a contract basis until the end of the year, with potential for extension or conversion to a full-time position. Responsibilities: * Manage 25 to 30 files per person (once fully trained) * Process home equity loans from start to finish * Review income information (e.g., pay stubs) * Order appraisals if needed * Order flood certification * Gather payoff information * Review mortgagee clause * Prepare files for closing and send to underwriting * Arrange closings Must Have: * 1 to 2 years of full-cycle mortgage or home equity processing experience (underwriters are overqualified; closers and originators are underqualified) * Willingness to learn, as the processing experience is still very manual * High member contact; must be willing to communicate with members throughout the process * Team-oriented approach; must be willing to help each other out to decrease the pipeline Nice to Have: * Direct or indirect lending experience * Credit union or banking experience Employee Value Proposition: * Great company culture with a close-knit, family-like team * Manager with 10 years of experience at the company * Amazing benefits once converted * Pay increases and growth opportunities Work Environment: * Newly renovated building with cubicles on the 2nd floor * Business casual dress code (no leggings, sandals, or jeans) * No cell phone usage due to handling of financial information * Nice cafeteria and break room * Onsite branch for convenient banking Business Drivers/Customer Impact: * Position opened due to an influx of mortgage volume and a home equity rate special running until the end of the year * High pipeline and longer close times; goal is to reduce close times to 15-30 days Join our team and be part of a supportive environment where your contributions make a significant impact! Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
