FlexStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an assisted living facility, working with one of our external clients, a multi-service certified home care organization.

UAS assessments experience is the must.

Position Details:



  • Location: Far Rockaway, NY
  • Type: Permanent, Full-Time
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (No night shifts or overtime)


Benefits:



  • Tuition Reimbursement: $10,000 annually, up to $40,000 total
  • 401K: Company match
  • Time Off: 4 weeks vacation, 5 personal days, 8 sick days per year


Role Overview:

You will provide assessing resident needs, ensuring proper care, and coordinating services.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:



  • NYS RN License
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience


Key Responsibilities:



  1. Resident Assessment:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents to determine their care needs and ensure they are receiving appropriate support.
    • Utilize standardized assessment tools, such as the Uniform Assessment System (UAS), to evaluate the health status and functional abilities of residents.

  2. Care Planning and Coordination:

    • Develop individualized care plans based on assessment results and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to implement and adjust these plans as needed.
    • Coordinate with other staff members, families, and external healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.

  3. Medication Management:

    • Oversee medication administration and management, ensuring adherence to prescriptions and monitoring for potential side effects or interactions.
    • Educate residents and families regarding medication schedules and possible adverse effects.

  4. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, care plans, medication administration, and resident progress.
    • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies and facility management.

  5. Quality Assurance:

    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for resident care.

  6. Education and Training:

    • Provide guidance and training to other staff members on clinical practices, patient care standards, and facility policies.
    • Educate residents and their families on health-related topics, promoting wellness and preventive care.

  7. Crisis Management:

    • Respond to medical emergencies and other crises, taking appropriate actions to stabilize residents and coordinate further care if necessary.
