Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Drive spotter truck to move trailers from the plants and yard to keep shipping/receiving operations running continuously. Drive sit down fork lift to load/unload trailers. Perform inventory transactions using RF scanners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Responsible for 5S
  • Complete daily checklists and logs
  • Document issues observed during initial inspection and throughout shift
  • All damages and issues must be reported the same day found
  • Manage empty grease barrels and notify Supervisor if any waste is still in barrels that production needs to clean out
  • Sort pallets, good pallets staged to be sent out & busted/bad are to be loaded onto skid trailer
  • Communicate with dock personnel


  • Communication during shift change about pertinent information
  • Any other duties assigned by Supervisor



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:




  • 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous semi / spotter truck experience preferred
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to multitask
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communications skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • High School Diploma

Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Strength and Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy packages, up to 50-100 lbs.
  • Driving Skills: Proficient in operating large vehicles, with excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Endurance: Long hours on the road, requiring physical and mental endurance.
  • Dexterity: Capable of handling the vehicle's controls and performing tasks such as loading and unloading.
  • Physical Health: Good overall fitness to manage physical demands of the job.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow delivery schedules, navigation, and safety protocols.
  • Problem Solving: Quick decision-making for traffic issues, weather conditions, or mechanical problems.
  • Focus: Consistent concentration while driving, especially over long distances.
  • Stress Management: Coping with deadlines, traffic, and unexpected situations while remaining calm.
  • Time Management: Efficient route planning and delivery schedule adherence.
