Senior Software Engineer Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team, with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications. Responsible for overseeing end-to-end development processes, including front-end and back-end architecture, cloud integration, and database management. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, ensures code quality through reviews, and mentors' junior developers. Drives innovation by implementing best practices, optimizing performance, and managing continuous integration and deployment pipelines
Location: Plano, TX *Candidate is required to be in the office 3 days a week* Responsibilities * Participate in Scrum Calls * Analyze existing customer applications. * Prepare High level technical understanding document detailing the functionalities along with interface specifications. * Write clean, testable code using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices AWS * Identify technical issues with the existing code and propose suitable fixes * Upgrade existing code (Review and Refactor) * Analyze performance issues in the existing stored procedures and identify fixes * Perform POCs to validate solution, design services, components and architecture considerations. Qualifications * Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using AWS, Vue / React JS, SQL, Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, and MySQL. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. * Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. * Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. * Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation. * Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. * Work closely with product managers and designers to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications. * Implement and manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. * Conduct thorough testing and validation of software components to ensure robustness and reliability. * Document software designs, code, and processes for future reference and maintenance. * Contribute to the overall success of the team by sharing knowledge and best practices. * Qualifications * Must have strong experience with AWS, React JS, SQL, Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, and MySQL. * Should have a deep understanding of Loan Booking and Document Management domains. (Nice to have) * Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. * Should possess strong communication and collaboration skills. * Nice to have experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. * Should be able to work in a hybrid model with day shifts. Other Compensations: Applications will be accepted until May 31, 2025. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
