Description TheSenior Manager Pricing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of pricing strategies as part of the front-end processes related to corrugated packaging products. This includes integrating input from Sales, cost data, production, industry and market data, and benchmarks to price opportunities to fill operating capacity, generating revenue growth while maximizing profitability. Additionally, this role identifies best practices, coaches and mentors the Regional Pricing Managers, and provides strong leadership to guide and motivate teams working to onboard new projects in support of business objectives. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Packaging and is located at our facility in Golden Valley, Minnesota. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with regional leadership to ensure Pricing function monitors market trends, raw material costs, manufacturing costs, competitor pricing, and products / offerings, and coaches / guides team to utilize data in presenting strategic pricing recommendations on a regular cadence.
- Oversee and drive development, utilization, and maintenance of consistent business unit pricing tools and models to account for competitive market trends and manufacturing costs. Incorporate regional insights and business unit strategy to develop and execute competitive market proposals for national account opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, finance, and regional leadership in the development and implementation of competitive pricing strategies, keeping team apprised of impact, and addressing challenges that require course correction.
- Leads Regional Pricing Managers through timely execution of price increases or decreases tied to price changes, ensuring market competitiveness and compliance with customer contracts, where applicable. Build common tools to drive consistent administration of changes and reporting of impact across business unit.
- Partner with sales, operations, site and regional leadership to proactively evaluate customer pricing and contracts, present pricing analysis findings and recommended pricing changes to teams.
- Partner with sales in the review of all customer contract proposals for language accuracy and validity including payment terms, service model / warehousing, price escalator/de-escalator clauses, continuous improvement agreements, product pricing.
- Prepare and deliver cost estimates and pricing for projects or Request for Proposal (RFP) events, taking the lead on national bid opportunities to coordinate pricing for all applicable regions and developing a one packaging proposal
- Analyze market trends and business challenges and provide SVP Packaging with regular updates and recommendations on internal and external business unit opportunities.
- In partnership with SVP Packaging and VP Sales, develop tools to educate regional teams on market trends, pricing, costs, and workflow processes, ensuring growth in understanding.
- Partner with regional teams to determine open capacity and opportunities for sales growth and margin improvement, leverages analysis of business unit manufacturing costs and capabilities and integrates into pricing structure.
- Leads, mentors, and develops team of Regional Pricing Managers, ensuring alignment with business goals, professional growth, and high-performance standards.
- Builds and maintains expertise and competitive advantage insights and metrics including speed, accuracy, wins/losses, capacity utilization profile, costing metric.
- Partners with IT to develop pricing dashboards and advanced reporting capabilities, utilizing systems including but not limited to PowerBI, CRM, and Amtech.
- Develop cadence for customer account reviews and develop profile assessments for opportunities for revenue growth and margin enhancement.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, mathematics, economics, or accounting and 7+ years of pricing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years' experience leading professional team members.
- Experience demonstrating strong business acumen, including engaging and collaborating with manufacturing, sales, and finance on business projects
- Experience with analyzing and reporting pricing data to identify issues or opportunities, driving improvement, and finding solutions.
- Experience identifying operational opportunities and recommending / implementing strategies to improve profitability.
- Demonstrated experience with interpreting financial statements and leveraging information to impact cost drivers.
- Experience in corrugated and / or paper industry.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, If / Then statements, text-to-columns, Pivot Charts).
- Demonstrated problem-solving, detail orientation, organization, communication, and independent work experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Previous corrugated, paper, or related industry experience.
- Experience leading a team of individual contributors.
- Lean and/or Operational Excellence experience, training, or certification.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The starting base salary range for this position is $131,525 - $164,406 per year plus eligibility in annual bonus program. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses or deferred compensation options.
