Experience Required: Typically requires ~5 years of relevant experience Key Responsibilities: Manages or performs strategic sourcing work by: Initiating and driving sourcing and cost reduction initiatives Developing and implementing segment strategy in the area of responsibility Driving strategic purchasing activities within the commodity Establishes supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement goals/programs Negotiates contracts and coordinates supplier integration plans with internal clients Monitors market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing Partners with internal clients to: Identify sourcing needs Develop buyer/market profiles Identify marketplace trends Define acceptable service levels On a senior level, may drive transformation initiatives (e.g., digitalization and sustainability) Additional Senior-Level Responsibilities: Applies advanced knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience Manages projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals Solves difficult and sometimes complex problems
