Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:

The Director, Artificial Intelligence ("AI") will be responsible for identifying and evaluating opportunities to apply AI technologies that improve efficiency and/or drive strategic advantage and differentiation, and leading implementation of project(s) to deliver the most impactful one(s). The ideal candidate will have strong business and strategic acumen, a solid understanding of AI and machine learning frameworks, and proven ability to lead transformative projects from concept to execution.

The successful candidate will engage cross-functionally to identify, understand and map processes where AI can create meaningful value for Enovis; work with appropriate internal and external constituencies to develop and execute implementation plans that are aligned with other information technology programs; and lead the necessary change management.

Given limited organizational bandwidth, success will require focus on the opportunities that deliver the optimum balance of impact and investment. Accordingly, while an understanding of information technology and AI/ML frameworks is important to the role, the ideal candidate should be a businessperson first and a technologist second.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opportunity Identification: Collaborate with executive leadership and functional leaders to identify opportunities where AI technologies can drive efficiency improvements and market differentiation.
• Business Case Development: Create business cases for identified AI initiatives, including financial, strategic and risk considerations, to prioritize them and secure executive buy-in.
• Strategic Roadmap Development: Develop a roadmap for prioritized AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with Enovis's long-term business goals and objectives.
• Project Leadership: Develop project plans for prioritized AI opportunities, and lead implementation using internal and external resources as appropriate.

• External Partnerships: Establish and manage relationships with external AI vendors and technology partners to ensure successful project delivery.
• Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of AI initiatives, and identify course-changes as appropriate for continuous improvement.
• AI Advocacy: Provide training, education and mentorship within Enovis to improve awareness of AI capabilities and opportunities, and identify future opportunities for efficiency and differentiation.
• Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of the latest AI technologies and trends, assessing their potential impact and applicability to our business needs.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:
LANGUAGE CAPABILITIES

Written and spoken fluency in English is required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a similar field. An MBA is a plus.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years experience in a large-scale global organization, with demonstrated track record in a program management, integration leadership, process improvement and/or similar role.
• Experience with AI and machine learning technologies, including participation in (and ideally leadership of) one or more successful AI initiatives.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Apache MXNet, Microsoft CNTK), relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, R), and data analysis tools.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies; demonstrated experience identifying and driving creative / meaningful process improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to operate across organizational boundaries, achieving results through influence, and creating engagement/followership.
• Effective change management skills.
• Ability to effectively influence, relate to, and communicate with at organizational levels front-line through executive leadership with concise and appropriate communication.

Travel Requirements:

• Location flexible, though Dallas/Austin preferred.
• Travel TBD depending on location, though likely at least 40% of time given need to spend time at various sites with key constituencies.
