Job Type: Officer of Administration Bargaining Unit: Regular/Temporary: Regular End Date if Temporary: Hours Per Week: 35 Standard Work Schedule: Building: 1111 Westchester Avenue, White Plains NY Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $106,000.00 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary This full-time Genetic Counselor will work closely with the Geneticist located at our Westchester Center of Excellence, and will provide assistance with the diagnosis, care and treatment of genetics patients. Assist with clinical consultations, draft consultation notes and write patient result letters. Complete lab requisition forms and coordinate patient and/or family genetic testing. Coordinate specimen send outs and result notifications. Attend case conference meetings, as needed. Participate in specialty clinics, as requested. Supervise medical students, rotating residents and genetic counseling students as needed. Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience required; plus four years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications Must have a Master's degree. Must be Board certification in Genetic Counseling or board-eligible. Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciples.
