We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and highly organized Business Travel Sales Manager to join our sales team at the Westin Dallas Park Central, This role is responsible for driving business travel revenue by developing and maintaining relationships with corporate travel managers, travel agencies, and key accounts. The ideal candidate has a strong background in hotel sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. Here is what you will be doing each day:
- Working directly with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Director of Revenue Management to negotiate pricing and optimize production to positively impact hotel revenues
- Building relationships thru proactive account solicitation and responsive sales opportunities; Activities could include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, site inspections, trade shows, etc.
- Develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities
- Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Provides accurate & comprehensive reporting when needed
- Using Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize Revenue
- Understanding competitors' strengths/ weaknesses, current economic trends, and supply/demand for midtown
- Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (I.E., generating proposals, writing contracts, customer correspondence, etc.)
- Achieves personal sales goals
- Gains understanding of the location's primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business and business concerns, offering better business solutions
- Proactively identify, solicit, and secure new business travel accounts to increase hotel occupancy and revenue.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing corporate accounts, travel agencies (TMCs), and global distribution systems (GDS).
- Negotiate and finalize business travel contracts and rate agreements in alignment with brand standards and revenue goals.
- Collaborate with revenue management to ensure optimal rate strategies and inventory allocation.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, and hotel site tours to promote the property.
- Attend local and national industry events and trade shows as a representative of the hotel.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the hotel's CRM system.
- Work closely with the sales, operations, and front office teams to ensure a seamless guest experience for business travelers.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in hotel sales, preferably focusing on business travel or corporate sales.
- Strong understanding of the Dallas corporate travel market is a plus.
- Strong understanding of the Marriott Global Sales tools is a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales CRM platforms
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Ability to travel locally and attend networking events, client meetings, and industry functions.
