Senior Product Manager

EA Austin, Texas

Come join us as a Senior Product Manager on the Player Safety team! You will help us create products that promote welcoming and safe games and experiences through centralized moderation of player-to-player engagement and player-generated content across EA's gaming ecosystem. Centralized moderation includes identifying policy violations, applying the right policy enforcements and measuring product effectiveness. You will report to the Director, Product Management - Player Safety in the Global Affairs Org.

We support hybrid work. You will be expected to work 3 days per week in our Austin office.

As a Senior Product Manager of Player Safety, you will consume upstream indicators of violation identification and build enforcement products to drive policy compliance. You will bring player focus to a technical space by leading the research to understand the players entering our safety enforcement funnel and testing the levers to affect their advancement through that funnel so that we can drive policy compliance with the least friction to game play. You will be responsible for prioritizing the problems to be solved and the products to deliver, including assessing the tradeoffs between human and machine learning enforcement and between various machine learning solutions.

What you'll do:

Understand the Player & Business Needs

  • work with studios, data science, policy & legal, platform product & engineering, and community teams to identify opportunities in player interactions and content
  • develop and maintain a backlog of clearly defined problems that align with business goals and quantifiably impact OKRs

Shape Solutions & Drive Decision-Making

  • partner with technical product partners to define solutions
  • build data-backed business cases that balance impact, feasibility, and urgency
  • secure leadership buy in for proposed solutions
  • write and collaboratively refine testable business, functional, and user requirements in Confluence

Program Manage Execution

  • identify the various product-engineering squads required to deliver an initiative
  • articulate the hypothesis, success metrics and functional testing acceptance criteria to each delivery squad
  • track delivery status and be available to refine scope as the team learns through delivery
  • communicate plans, status, outcomes to non-delivery stakeholders

Measure Success & Improve Continuously

  • define and track key success metrics for moderation effectiveness and efficiency
  • ensure feedback loops across the moderation ecosystem: detection, enforcement, appeals, reinstatements
  • communicate technical success metrics from products leveraging machine learning and human-in-the-loop systems to non-technical stakeholders

What we're seeking:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management
  • Skills in product discovery, customer research, and business case development
  • Fluency in technical systems, especially machine learning pipelines
  • Deep experience crafting product epics and stories with testable acceptance criteria
  • Comfort coordinating delivery by multiple cross-functional, product-engineering squads
  • Experience mapping processes in tools like Miro or Visio
  • Ability to document products from ideation through launch in Confluence
  • Analytical skills, including experience setting and testing hypotheses and interpreting results into actionable follow-ups
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences with both technical fluency and business storytelling skills
