Responsibilities Surgical Technologists are an integral part of the operating room team and work under the supervision of a surgeon to facilitate safe care of patients during operative procedures. Our Surgical Tech Apprentice program is a full time paid training program that is 40 hours a week for up to 7 months consisting of both clinical and textbook learning. Classes and skills labs will be held at Norton Healthcare Pavilion in downtown Louisville. Some travel between hospital locations may be required. Up to 7 months paid training will consist of:
